🌻PetPyves Spring 2022

Hey there! These next few weeks are going to be revolutionary for PetPyves- we'll be going on a short hiatus for the rest of April but will- *sigh* if we must, Imp - SPRING back into action in May! A lot of hard work has been happening behind the scenes of our live-streams and regular uploads and I am excited to announce all the a-MAY-zing things coming to our many platforms this season! ...seriously Imp, we're going to lose readers with all these puns-

Origins: Animatic Series Reboot

Starting off strong with the most anticipated PetPyves project of the year: Origins (Twelve’s sequel/prequel series!). The idea for the "reboot" has been explained over a few recent YouTube live-streams, but I will briefly go over the ✨master plan✨ here- in case you’ve been living in a pocket watch and didn’t hear about the series’ revival!

Origins was originally going to have 20 episodes- with an episode from May’s arc (the main character) happening after every 3 vessel (side character) episodes; totaling 12 episodes about the vessels, 5 episodes about May, and then a few extra about Imp. Luckily, the creator’s monkey-brain realized that was probably the messiest, most confusing order of episodes ever executed and it needs to be…well…executed 💀

The series will now be in a seasonal format! Meaning there will now be 3 entire seasons for the show! Season 1 will feature May’s story with 5 episodes, season 2 will be all about our beloved vessels with 12 episodes (of course!), and finally, Imp will actually be getting his own season as the finale to the show with 5-7 episodes! Which is very exciting news, because previously, Imp was going to get his own series following Origins but now the story can be told all in one place!

Now, I know what you’re thinking- BUT PETPYVES! The series was already half-way completed! What about all the episodes we already have?! AHA! I have thought of that, don’t you worry! We’ll be keeping mostly everything the same from those episodes- I’ll just be adding a few touch-ups to the art, lighting, sound, etc. to really make the series pop! All our previous work will stay intact! A few voices might change but that will be the absolute most that will happen. The episodes will be refined and re-uploaded but- you will always have access to the originals on my channel and the website if that’s what you prefer! Nothing will be lost, I can promise you that. Origins is just getting rearranged and refreshed is all!

Our brand new and improved series will kick off this May- for hilarious, punny reasons. Considering the first season will feature May’s story after all! The trailer is set to release on May 18th, 2022, with episodes premiering every single Saturday for the whole month and beyond! That’s another cool part about the reboot- seasons will come out when they are 100% complete so you don’t have to wait months between episodes- it’ll be consistent episode releases at last!

I hope you are as excited as I am to revisit this very nostalgic project and see it through to the end! At PetPyves, we truly don’t give up and I believe every story should be told from start to finish no matter what changes need to occur along the way. Intandem Comic: Volume 1

For those of you who have been keeping up with our first paid-to-view project, “Intandem”, you’ll be excited to hear that the comic is going to be wrapping up its first arc before summer! The adventures of Khiing and Team #4 in the Rift will also be getting a “revival” of some sorts as PetPyves takes on the project as the solo artist! Once the last few issues have been released, the dub will follow in either summer or fall of 2022!

I appreciate all the love and support this project gets- it was a huge step for me as an artist to branch out to the comic-making medium and I’m very happy with what I have learned and will continue to learn as we complete this volume and move on to the dub!

“PetPyves, will Intandem ever be free to the public?” My answer to that is no, unfortunately. It is a spin-off series to the Twelve/Origins universe and isn’t pivotal to the main story but is fun nonetheless and delves very deep into the Rift lore. I will always have my main stories free and accessible to all but goofy little projects like this can be paid extras! 100% of the profits go towards the channel and the future of our storytelling and I appreciate everyone who keeps up with the comic or enjoys it on PetPyves Premium! Here’s to finally wrapping up the mysteries of “Intandem”!

The Totem Reading Quiz

An old feature of PetPyves Premium/Patreon was that Pyvlets would be able to get their totem read, much like the Reapers from our Twelve/Origins universe! It was originally an exclusive benefit you could only get on the website but after it’s growing popularity, I have decided to put forth a great amount of effort into making it a free quiz anyone can take on the website! This will allow everyone to take the quiz for characters, friends, family, pets, etc., and will be a LOT of fun when it releases!

It’s a massive project, however. There are 350+ totems you can get from the quiz, each with unique traits, artwork, etc. that needs to be brought to life on the website. While I would love to implement a huge system of pages for each individual possibility/totem, that would take literal years- I am talented in many things but web design is tedious and frustrating! It will be a very simplified version of the quiz with the questions and answer key that will be (hopefully) as easy to navigate as possible!

There will also be an entire section being added to the website called “The Rift” and it will feature the Reaper Handbook (with chapters updating every so often!), lore pages, characters, and more! It’ll be a very fun and interactive space for all those Reaper fans out there! I think you all will really enjoy having full access to everything you could ever want to know about the lore of Morth (the universe Twelve/Origins takes place in!) and could make some very fun OCs and stories based off it!

The new site section will be released on the website by the end of May 2022! Get your Reapers ready- it’s almost time to take the official quiz to see what totem belongs to them! We appreciate your patience as we’ve worked on this project and hope you’re excited for the fun (and most importantly, FREE) new things coming to the website!
